I'm 15 years old. Some things I'm obsessed/in love with: - Old films. Elia Kazan, Alfred Hitchcock, Ingar Bergman... I'm in love with the classics.
Most people only know Marilyn Monroe or something, but I adore Lauren Bacall, James Dean and Jimmy Stewart more than anything. Actually, just films in general. My favourite director ever is Martin Scorsese and most kids my age are like, "Who is that, those films sound boring, I want to watch 21 Jump Street."
And none of them even know that 21 Jump Street is based on a 1980s TV show and I had to explain to everyone why Johnny Depp had a cameo. It's rather frustrating. The Graduate, from 1967, is my second favourite film.
Yeah, I'm just a massive cinephile. - 1940s/50s/60s fashion, history and lifestyle. I would pay a million dollars to be transported back in time to be a teenager living in America during the 1950s.
Everyone else I know thinks it's boring and how there was no sex and drugs back then and I have to tell everyone, "Yes, there was. The media was just censored is all." I love the noir films and the the gangster films and the idea of listening to records and wearing nice dresses and UGH I HATE BEING A TEENAGER IN THIS DAY AND AGE!
I've been listening to Simon & Garfunkel since I was 12 and The Beatles since I was about six. - I also like trivia (like QI, which is one of my favourite television programs), museums, art galleries and old buildings. I have absolutely no interest in clubbing, in fact the very idea terrifies me.
Unlike the rest of my peers, I find alcohol gross but smoking not entirely unappealing. Maybe I'm the only one out there who thinks a good-looking guy smoking is very attractive.
I guess I'm a bit like harrison. I'm 18 btw I don't have much of a social life. I'm content that way I'm interested in biology, chemistry and physics.
Moreso biology I like running. Most people I've talked to (when in HS) hated running. Don't see what's so bad about it.
I do not use facebook that much. I only go on it to chat with 1 or 2 friends. That's it.
I spend around 30 seconds a day. I have an interest in certain histories. Pretty much it.
Your cheese passion sounds awesome oh and I don't know if this is really untypical for my age group, but I'm willing to put effort into video games. If I need to do a ton of research to get good at a game like starcraft 2, I will do it. Seems like my generation is the "ADD instant gratification more action and explosions" types.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
