Eating right, Exercise and DRINK WATER I tried Jenny Craig, I tried Adkins, I tried the pills and I even tried the grapefruit diet. None worked. The best diet to follow as well as the easiest to maintain is to eat right and exersice.

Sure it’s a little hard at first and you won't see results the next day but if you do it right, you will see results and you will realize that the foods you consider buying will be healthier. When I first started my diet, I decided that I was going to work out M-F (before work to get it out of the way) for 45 min a day. This was 30 min on a cross trainer and 15 min lifting weights.

Now some ppl tell you to switch days... Cardio M-W-F and weights on T and The but I hate lifting weights (let alone working out), so you decide how you want to do that but I chose to do both everyday I worked out. Once I had decided that then I had to sit down and think about my meals. I went online and looked up MANY MANY things I had questions on like ’what is the healthiest way to cook meat’, ’how many calories do I need in one day’, ’how to read a nutrient label’ ect ect.

I learned so many different things and was able to learn and do it. I never deprived myself of any food but I didn't eat huge quantities either. Once I felt satisfied then I put my extra in tupperware, put it in the fridge and when I was hungry again I pulled it out and ate the rest.

Also, when I went to restaurants I told myself that no matter how much I ate, I will be paying the same amount so if I eat it all SURE I got all the food but I din't’t have it in a doggy bag, I had it in my LOVE HANDLES! I would rather PAY to have those disappear so then I put my fork down. To this day everything I buy now I look at the label first to see how healthy it is... I have not been on my diet for a while and my hubby pointed out that I was still looking at the label and that (along with still being at my goal weight) is how I know you can sustain your weight.

Don’t be so hard on yourself either. If you go to work and there is birthday party with cake and ice cream then HAVE SOME! Just have a smaller quantity: A piece that isn't big, that came from the middle of the cake (that way there isn't’t as much frosting on it) and one scoupe of ice cream instead of 2.

Of course you know about the water thing. Everyone knows about the water but everyone knows its hard to do cause water either doesn’t taste good to you or you don’t want to have to go pee a lot (or both). I read that however much you weigh you should drink half in oz of the weight. So if you weigh 160 drink 80 oz of water (or at least 64 oz).

Let me tell you! I din't’t used to like water but since I started drinking it, I LOVE IT! Sure I still go to the bathroom a lot still but I feel so much better and healthier.

Sorry I rambled. I just know how it feels to be frustrated and I had wished that someone would just make a meal plan for me to follow. Jenny Craig food is gross!

At least that is what I thought and I wasted a bunch of money on it. Ugh. I should be a diet expert.... I think I have probably tried EVERYTHING......except Jenny Craig....but my New Year's Resolution was, of course, to lose the weight for good...Just in the past year I have tried Weight Watchers, The Master Cleanse, and South Beach. I have good news though...I decided I would give the GI diet a shot. Two weeks and I have lost 7 lbs.! I figure I did not put it on overnight and I probably won't get it off overnight but this is working!

It has been very easy for me to stick to. I am becoming reacquainted with my healthy side and I feel great! The concept of this diet is to eat food with a low glycemic index.

This basically includes high fiber / low sugar foods. They keep you full longer and keep your blood sugar from spiking after meals. This means more consistent energy and none of the ups and downs (mid-afternoon fatigue).

Count every calorie-- who cares where the calorie comes from I am down quite a lot of weight and am not one of those people who can do 30 mins of pilates a day and be just fine. And no matter how thin I get, I will never have anything but a big, round butt. That said, this is what is working for me, slowly but surely (and did for my roommate too): a) Count every single calorie.

Even the handful of m&m's you snuck on the way to work. Put it in a food dairy-- I use the following because I can look up foods from restaurants etc... thedailyplate.com b) Once you calculate what your calorie intake should be to lose ~1 lb a week, multiply that times seven and set a weekly calorie limit, not daily. Therefore, you can have 'fat' days and 'thin' days food-wise and you trick your metabolism a bit by adding the variation.

C) When you exercise, you must switch it up a lot. Otherwise your body figures it out and you plateau. D) Eat a lot of plain veggies to fill up without going for the bread etc.. saves calories.

E) Don't eat more than ~400-500 calories per sitting. Eat that much, and then rest because you will find that your stomach gets more full after 15 mins than 2 mins after you just downed your first sandwich. If you are still hungry, only then eat some more.

Everything is about getting comfortable with intaking less food and trying to avoid a plateau exercise-wise. Still, its very hard and no easy answer. I have found for me that the type of food that goes into a calorie really doesn't matter.

The only salient aspect may be that carbs/sugar makes me crave more, sooner, than protein would. Also, this has changed my habits a lot-- and it has been sustainable. Over a year I have only lost weight or stayed the same; never went up--even over holidays..

Eat les; eat healthy and exercise more It's the best, most tried and proven and most effective diet ever. All that other crap is for taking money from suckers who are looking for an easy way out.

My fav is the Fat Flush Plan... This is not a diet, but rather a life style change I haven't spoken to anyone who hasn't lost at least 9 -14 pounds the first 3 weeks to a month. Ann Loise Gittleman will educate you as to why some of us have such difficulty losing weight and keeping it off. It requires work, changes in life style and attitude and how you look at food and other areas of your URL1 makes sense and I've never felt better.

I was suffering from irritable bowel and it was gone in two weeks with the fat flush. I discovered I had a serious wheat allergy, which was responsible for the pain in my gut, the gas and abdominal swelling later in the day. There are so many things we don't think about regarding the diet and our health.

At least check it out and see for yourself if this is something you'd like to invest yourself in. I'm cetainly glad I did! You can even cheat on this plan and not have guilt.

I think A, Gittleman covers all the bases. I also discovered that my use for birth control pills when I was younger, may have contributed to my inabiltiy to lose weight and stay in shape. I wish you luck and if you keep an open mind and try the plan according to instructions, you will see incredible results and I feel better that I've felt in years.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
