What is the official Catholic church statement about UFOs?

Although the The Roman Catholic Church|Catholic Church has not made an official statement regarding extraterrestrial life, a number of prominent church members and theologians have concluded that the existence of UFO|UFOs does not contradict belief in God and that they could possibly exist. Here is a very interesting quote: “The Lord certainly did not limit s glory to this small Earth. On other planets other beings exist who did not sin and fall as we did." - St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina (1887-1968), canonized June 16, 2002.

In May of 2008, Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, a top astronomer at the Vatican published "The Extraterrestrial is my Brother" in the The Vatican|Vatican's newspaper. Although he spoke solely on his opinion --he wrote "In my opinion this possibility exists. Astronomy|Astronomers believe the universe is made up of 100 billion galaxies, each of which consists of 100 billion stars.

... Life forms could exist in theory even without oxygen or hydrogen. " He also said, "As there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, so there may be other beings, intelligent, created by God. This does not conflict with our faith, because we cannot put limits on the creative freedom of God.

" Although it is not an "official statement," I thought that might help :).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
