What is the Value of a colt 45 model 1911 us army serial?

100 to multiple thousands depending on specifics.

Like already stated the mag is not G.I., but keep it for use/sale/trade later. Any G.I. magazine from any era could be considered 'correct', but a WWII mag with the Colt marks would be great to have with it. It would have a letter, like 'R', on the top of the toe of the floor plate and a 'C-R' on the bottom of the floor plate.

The mag would be blued over a grainy, sanded finish. If your pistol is in the serial number range that had numbered slides, the number will be found under the firing pin stop plate. For a quick check on this, lock the slide back.

Take a punch or other implement and push the firing pin while sliding the stop plate down and out of the slide. Watch out for the firing pin which is spring-loaded! The number will now be visible if it has one.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
