I have attached a link to a free information and referral service in Texas. You can look up legal representation, as well as landlord/tenant matters, and by putting in your location, you can find out what is available in your area. If the 211 service is available in your area (and you can tell that from the website), you can also call that number, 211, and talk to a counselor who can help you find what you need.
I hope this helps you, and best of luck to you! Katherine do.
Thank you so much for the link. Your a sweetheart. Its nice to know that there are people like you who are kind and take the time to offer some good advice, unlike some lawyers that run away when I mention the word "Mold".
Just a little frustrated, but we are definetly not giving up. We only what wat is right, and we want our good health back. We are more concerned about our 8yr old daughter's health.
We have filed a counter suit just today; and have requested a jury. We feel that maybe a group of people would see our points across, and do what is fair. We have a feeling that this landlord may be friends with the JP?
Being that he has a history of taking tenants to court. So we are waiting for the court date. And hope to find us some good representation?
Thanks again ***caseycat*** TXGirl1724 14 months ago .
Find yourself a lawyer that deals with tenant issues (there are landlord lawyers & tenant lawyers). Gather the evidence (photos), proof that you have asked for this to be fixed, any doctor visits pertaining to this problem, and go for it. You may even have to get The Board of Health involved.
He has to fix that.
Thank you so much. I am writing all your advice down. We have over 50 photos of all the Mold Damage already.
And copies of the letters of complaints. We're getting bloodwork done this thursday for a full checkup on Mold Infection to the Human Body. Its sad that I have been wheezing and yet I am not a smoker?
I don't have any medical insurance which is why I have not been checked more often. I am paying out of my pocket to pay for my medical checkup. I just hope that my results are not too serious?
And am very touched that I have gotten such quick responses from you all. I really do apreciate it. Thank You MaryAnn!

We have over 50 photos of the Mold damages. And just filed a counter suit against him today. Waiting on the court date to be set.
Getting ourselves medically checked out on thursday. And am only bumping into two problems, one is I cant seem to get a lawyer who would help represent us, or at least make sure we have all are proper information set for trial? And Secondly I cant find a Certified Mold Tech.
I live here in South Texas, and there are hardly any available. And as for the lawyers, it feels as though they are agitated with the word "MOLD"? I feel as though we have to have a ton of money to pay for a good lawyer, or someone in my family has to die in order to get good representation?
As though our Health is not good enough? It seems as though we are going to have to fight this on our own? Again, thank you for your advice.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
