The Hostas that you have planted in the front also do amazing in shade. I have Hostas and LOVE them. They do not need alot of love or care and are perfect for someone like me, who is not a good gardener, plus I think they are gorgeous.
Hydrangeas also do very well in the shade. Lastly, Holly surprisingly does great in the shade.

I have asiatic lilies planted in a spot with mostly shade and they do really well. If you check out the link below you'll see some photos of my garden that are almost all shade and you'll see the lilies do really well.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
