I have heard that eating 3 'regular' meals per day but then making sure as above, you eat a healthy snack after 3-4 hours is the best way to lose weight, maintain weight, and to maintain good blood sugar levels.
There is not a set time however a good rule to go by if your looking to lose weight is to eat at least 5 times a day. Try to separate your meals by about 3-4 hours!
