I was very anxious about my first task, that feeling of maybe it will be rejected. You're right that everything was all in the instructions but did not click at that time when doing my first page, there are some missing infos needed. Thanks to the QCer that checked my page, gave me some pointers that explained how to do it, I was almost disappointed until I saw her feedback. As I go along doing some of my early pages, I kept in mind some of the great pointers the feedbacks I have received from the QCers (that's including you, thanks) like: 1.
Related Mahalo Pages must be included in the page contents. It must be enclosed in double brackets and separated with a pipe ( | ) 2. Inlinking of all proper nouns, dates, etc. ( example: Obama, flour, cookies, February 14th must be enclosed in double brackets to link on Mahalo website).
3. That some sources like Wikipedia or Associated Content should not be used for citations on facts. 4.
To make sure to read task instructions and delete the instructions in the task blocks before adding texts or before submitting the completed URL2 make sure to add references throughout the text to make the facts reputable. By citing the url at the end of sentence one wish to cite. Pointers and tips received from the QCers are very helpful, I don't think without their kind help I would be able to accomplish my early pages.
Feedbacks of the QC are very important for newcomers on page building as well as page managers who have numerous pages done already. The must read How to Build A Mahalo Page tutorials on Mahalo page building gives support and along the way.
Here are some things I've learned, but several have to do with selecting your topic, which may not be what you're after. 1. Find a topic that seems likely to do well.
This currently includes e.g. Coupon pages. 2. Check the ads that appear in the top performing pages (see leader-board at mahalo.com/leaderboard/pages?sort=payout... ).
Find keywords likely to attract those ads and build a page around those. Alternatively, find a natural way to include some of those keywords in your existing pages.3. Use the Google keyword tool (see https://adwords.google.
Com/select/KeywordToolExternal ) to find keywords likely to do well. You can do this after you already know one or more keywords you're likely to use to include related keywords that have high CPC (you'll need to use the show/hide column drop-down menu to add the estimated average CPC column). 4.In the guide note, don't put any references until the end of the first paragraph.
When Google returns your page in search results, any reference code in the first few lines shows up, making this critical segment seem gibberish-like, reducing the probability of a web surfer clicking on that result, even if it is in the first page.5. Include a featured video, even if one is not required. Reference the video in the fast facts to get people to look for the video and click on it.6.
Use Google Analytics to track your pages' performance. If you see a page dropping off, change it by adding some content.7. If you have a page that's performing well, build related pages and in-link between all of them.
Well, that's all I can think of for now. Good luck.
I have not built a page yet but as far I have seen with Mahalo, you need some skills to earn through this website. I checked your profile and saw that you made only 100-120 Mahalos with 194 pages/105 How To's. Try contributing content which is more popular and you can see your numbers grow.
This is a great question. I just started here. I am accustomed to writing other articles similar to pages, so I had a lot of the SEO stuff down already.
What I have been learning about most is the Wiki/Mahalo editing style. I'm also learning about the different possibilities that open up when advancing through Mahalo and I am seriously interested in most of them. I learned most from writing God of War III Release Date.
The inlinks are a great way to link things quickly within Mahalo. I wished they worked on all sites!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
