What types of events will I be playing for in the marching band?

Most Marching Bands tend to be required to perform at many school events. The band and the school mascot is basically the physical representative of their high school. When I was involved in marching activities we did do home game half time shows.

But aside from high school football, the band was required during a slew of events. Pep rallies, local events such as parades, playing at non home football games – in all weather. When I say all weather I mean (within reason) during the cold, the wind, the heat, and yes, the rain.

Also marching band time tends to be divided into three major things: practice, performance, and competition. Competitions can be between local bands, to regional, state and even national level requiring travel and performance on unfamiliar turf. From the end of August to December, a band member is in marching band mode performing for school events, sports events, and competition events.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
