Parcheesi! That was my aunt's favorite game and the one I mainly grew up with---I liked it, but man, she was cutthroat. We also played card games, chess, scrabble (perhaps my least favorite of the bunch) monopoly which I liked by no one wanted to play with me.My funny story though, we when I went to one of study breaks on my hall in college--the rest of them all got "nostalgic" and pulled out things like Chutes & Ladders and Life & Candyland.

They thought I was a weirdo & made fun of me cuz I'd never played any of them & didn't know how. I tried 'em & frankly I couldn't see what was cool about any of them--I thought they were boring as all heck. I'm sure they liked them because that's what they played with their families & had happy memories associated with them.

Made me have a better apprecitation for the games that I grew up with & the time playing them gave me with my family. Amara's Recommendations ParcheesiĀ® Game by Milton Bradley Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 4 reviews) .

Monotony...oops, I mean Monopoly I think I 'm not really a competitive person anyway, and my brother and sister and I would play these Monopoly games that would go on for DAYS. My brother would always seem to end up with hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place and other "strips" of properties. My sister Mary was supposedly the trustworthy one so was always the banker...my brother Richard and I didn't figure out until we were grown that she seemed to always have an extra $500 bill when she happened to need money.... I was the youngest and no good at being ruthless.

Never being the banker, I never had the chance to steal the $500 bills. The games went on FOREVER. Days, I'm telling you.

They were horribly painful. I liked Parcheesi (sp? ) because it seemed more a game of luck (with me not being competitive and all) and I could relax and have more fun.

We also had the home version of Password which I remember being a lot of fun. I used to enjoy watching that on TV as well, although I guess that's not really a board game. Also the game of Life was pretty cool.

You got to have babies, buy houses, etc. It seems like mostly good things happened to you. Wouldn't you know it? When I had a child of my own, she grew to LOVE Monopoly.

So I had to play with her. When she was very little, she cheated (I think all kids do, although my sister Mary continued it up into her teens) so THAT was fun. I could hardly stand playing Monotony all over again.

My Mom would play it some with my daughter. Once, after a few months of no one playing it, the game mysteriously got lost...... Sorry! I loved to play Sorry and still do sometimes on my laptop when I am bored or is that board? Heehee. My least favorite was probably Monopoly because my big brother would always win and the game belonged to him.

He is 8 years older than I am and he is still better with money than me. Game always lasted to darn long for my liking..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
