I can't wait! I can't wait til Halloween! My entire family almost (my parents, cousins, their mom, my aunt, and a couple others) always gets together at my house on halloween so that my little cousin can go trick or treating in my neighborhood (it's actually just an excuse to eat a lot of food and give out candy to cute kids haha).

My mom always cooks a delicious meal and I always make some kind of Halloweeny dessert. Last year was awesome, we had this crock-pot chili cheesy maccaroni thing. It was sooo comforting warm and yummy on a chilly night!

For dessert, I made a chocolate cake and then turned it into the shope of a cat and decorated it, it was soo cute! Other years we've had quesadillas with soup or something. Now to the actual question, this year we are having shrimp and grits.. I can't wait!

For dessert, i'm still not sure what i'm making. Possibly a cake with chocolate inside, orange frosting, and thena chocolate ganache over it. Or cupcakes in the shape of a pumpkin.

Or a pumpkin cheesecake. Or a cake with orange inside and chocolate frosting and decorate it and make it really cute. I'm not sure yet.

And yes, we will probably have a sugar overload, what with the dessert AND the candy. But hey, Halloween is only once a year and my family (definately including me! ) has a huge sweet tooth!

And it's really fun to make and decorate something with a theme like Halloween! .

Halloween Dinner Since I was married on Halloween we always go out to dinner. Used to be we would eat at an fancy place, but now that we have a child, we tend to eat at kid-friendly places. So after a few hours of trick or treating, we will take our daughter to On the Border and order up a bevy of appetizers.

I really like the Chicken Emanadas & the Firecracker Stuffed Jalapenos, so I know we will order that. I'll let my husband choose an appetizer too and the three of us will share it. I'm sure we'll have some sort of margarita beverage as well, but my daughter will too, only hers will be alcohol-free!

Small baked children in my gingerbread house I have a gingerbread house in the woods . I make gingerbread it smells soooo good little childern come from miles around. I make fat plump ginger bread children and invite the little kids in and eat them up.
