Two things: Think about what you need to do and analyze it until you find a good reason to achieve your goal. Knowing what the reward will be is very motivating, and nearly everything has a reward. If you don't have a good reward, invent one for yourself.
Force yourself to ACT enthusiastic and it will help you build the positive habit of actually BEING motivated. If you come at a task with dread and negatively, you aren't likely to do it well and are more likely to not do it at all. For example, if you want to motivate yourself to get out of bed instead of sleeping in every day, spring out of bed the instant the alarm goes off instead of pounding the snooze button.
Don't lie there and think "Darn, I really don't want to get up now. " Just do it. As soon as you are up, think about something easy and good that you can do to reward yourself.
Fix a great cup of coffee or tea, indulge in a favorite scented soap in the shower or whatever. After a couple of weeks of doing this, you will actually feel motivated to get up because you are used to it and enjoy your morning ritual/reward/treat. You can even make a deal with yourself that if you get up on time every day for X days that you can go do buy yourself something that you've been wanting for a while or do a fun activity.
Mark the successful days off on the calendar so that you have a daily sense of accomplishment and reinforce your positive habit.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
