That's fine. Unless I am using the rice for dessert dishes, I always use broth instead of water. You could also add some dry herbs (thyme, basil etc) in the broth as well for extra flavor.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
