What's the best/cheapest laptop and software to scan / store / create documents ONLY?

I need to setup a paperless home office, and want to create (with Word), scan, and store documents to a laptop and external hard drive. I do NOT want internet connectivity! And I'm hoping that by narrowing the function of this laptop to the items above, it will bring the cost down.

I have an all-in-one machine to scan, but I'm considering a mobile scanner so I can do it in bed. What's the cheapest/most robust setup? Asked by newbie8477142 30 months ago Similar questions: cheapest laptop software scan store create documents Computers > Hardware > Desktops & Laptops.

1 You can probably get the cheapest laptop that you can find, and it will still do all that you need. I buy my computers refurbished and have not had any problems yet. As far as I know mobile scanners do not have printers and they look expensive to me (on amazon).

I think you could save enough on the laptop to be able to afford the luxury of a mobile scanner. Scanning in bed while watching CSI woohoo! .

2 Acer or Dell both have units under 300 dollars, and I am sure a simple search would find even more that would fit your need. And, as Nanacat suggests also try refurbashed by these companies to save even more!Blessings........Annlee .

How to scan home documents into folders and search them.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
