We have in Georgia one traditional meal, its' name is "Khachapuri" and when I'm cold, to eat it makes me really warm and it's really cool. Khachapuri is cooking from cheese and bread, maybe tell so, it's best meal ever!
Homemade potato & ham soup or chicken pot pie are my favorites :).
Any hot soup. I prefer chicken noodle soup or chili!
A bowl of chili with cheese and sour cream on top with some scallions sprinkled on it. Serve with hot cornbread if you have it.
One of My Favorites is, Tomato Soup with Milk added to make it creamy, and Toasted Cheese Sandwiches... To make this the ultimate favorite, you have to first add the tomato soup the the pan, then the milk, put this up to a boiling point let it sit on low, and then when it boils for the 8-10 minutes keep it on the low setting and add a couple of hand fulls of shredded cheese on the top, meanwhile having another pan on th side with making toasted cheese sandwiches... Make them so they do not burn, and cook them all together, but also still crispy and allow the cheese to melt inside.. When the both are fully cooked, Cut the cheese sandwiches up into 4 squares of goodness so you can have them for dipping into the creamy cheesey soup. That is one great meal on a chilly winter day.. YUMMY!
Grilled cheese sandwich, hot cocoa and chocolate chip cookies.
Southern style pinto beans (cooked with either salt pork or ham hock) and fresh-baked corn bread!
In Egypt , there are many foods for winter but I think FATA is the best meal , it is made of small dried bread pieces soaked in beef soup then white rice is placed over it and thick tomato sauce full of capsicum is added over the rice and then boiled meat pieces in the top , it is very nice meal and you will feel dynamite run in your veins :).
Personally, I love making homemade vegetable beef soup (most of the time from pot roast leftovers). With the soup, some cheese toast, and hot tea.
In Lebanon, There's a hot meal called "Kishik", It's a soup. Very Delicious!
Any variety of a nice spicy curry, it can help fight off colds as well.
A hearty bowl of soup or chili, with lots of meat and veggies is best, This is just an opinion, from a person who has been eating food and surviving cold Michigan winters for 56 years!
Beef soup or tomato soups. And later on a hot chocolate!
Big bowl of chicken, sausage, and shrimp gumbo and cornbread.
After a cold day skiing on the mountains, I love to go home to a nice, hot home cooked meal :) I love chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed vegetables. Or, you could just choose a microwaveable meal such as Hot Pockets and Lean Cuisine! Lol I also love warm drinks such as hot cider, hot chocolate, coffer, herbal tea and egg nog!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
