I second the Coconut oil. Actually any vegetable oil will work. Coconut oil has the advantage of being solid below 76 degrees Fahrenheit, so if you are in a cold environment it will stay solid until you apply it to your lips.It doesn't really taste much like coconuts, and it's smell is very non-offensive.

I also bought a quart of "Lou Ana" brand coconut oil for under $6 at Wal-Mart (health food stores will be a LOT more expensive for essentially the same product). You can also cook with coconut oil! It's very healthy.

People are dieting with it. Though saturated, the fatty acid in coconut oil is only 14 carbons long (medium chain), compared to the 26-28 carbons (long chain) of almost all other oils. This means you are more likely to burn the coconut oil for energy than store it as fat.

Why? Long chain fats hit your thyroid and slow down your metabolism. Medium chain fats don't do this.

Also, things cooked in coconut oil taste AWESOME (just don't fry much above 350 or else it can smoke). As far as lemon or other citrus juices - vitamin C is anti-inflammatory in addition to making things tart. Cracked or split lips seem to heal faster for me if I eat sour tangy citrus fruit (and wetting your lips with the juice makes at least my lips feel better).

Honey? Kinda messy and sticky, but it sure tastes good. But go with whatever makes you happy :-) Good luck!

These are some of the natural products for treating chapped lips. *Coconut Oil: get fresh coconut oil and apply it to your lips. Do thus several times each day and you will begin to see good results in few days *Drink enough Water: dehydration is the major cause of chapped or dry lips.

Take at least ten full glasses of water each day and get your body rehydrated. This also works well as a treatment for dry lips. *Cucumber: get a slice of cucumber and rub it on your lips.

This is one of the most effective natural treatments for dry or chapped lips. For best results, apply it often. *Aloe Vera: is a very potent moisturizer and works well for chapped lips too.

Daily application of the gel from the aloe Vera plant would help heal the lips and keep it moisturized and healthy. * Honey mixed with Vaseline makes a good lip mask for treating dry lips. Clean off with a damp cotton pad and continue to apply it until you see visible results.

Dry, chapped lips not only steal your confidence but it also is painful sometimes. So here are some beauty tips that could help us treat it: 1. Use moisturizing lip balm, lipstick or lip gloss with SPF and vitamin E when you go out in order to protect your lips from harmful sun rays or during winter.2.

Quit smoking. If you do smoke, now it’s time to quit it.3. Use only hypoallergenic lip products (contains natural ingredients).4.

If the smell of petroleum jelly is just okay for you then applying it helps a lot. You can also use Vaseline.5. Exfoliate lips (but don’t when bleeding or infection is present) once a week in order to rid dead skin cells.6.

Drink plenty of water in order to keep your skin hydrated.7. Stop licking your lips esp. If you are outside because the moisture in your lips will escape.8.

Eat more riboflavin-rich foods or take more vitamin B. 9. Beeswax ointments work great on treating and preventing dry, chapped lips.

If your dry, chapped lips become too painful then seeing your dermatologist is advised.

You can use honey or butter on your lips. Any oil will be helpful too. Chapstick is easier to carry with you.

Don't lick your lips when it feels dry. It will make the lips more dry after. Apply butter on the lips before going to sleep can be good.

You can apply a little honey before you are going out. I use honey as a lip gloss. It works for me.

Lip balms such as Chapstick or Blistex do not actually treat dry lips. They are instead lip protectants. These can be beneficial if you are skiing in Switzerland, camping outdoors in Finland, or hiking at the North Pole, but they are of very little use to the average person.

They will protect against harsh winds and extreme climates, and they can also sometimes protect against damage caused by cigarette smoking, but that is about it. They provide a coat of protection for the lips, which may make it seem like your lips are actually moisturized, but they do very little for the dry skin that is underneath. Keeping the body properly hydrated is still one of the best ways to treat dry skin and dry lips.

Getting recommended daily amounts of vitamin C and vitamin E is also important for this process. Lemon juice is one of the best sources of vitamin C, and when applied directly to dry lips, it can be effective. The best way to do this is to apply a few drops to the lips before bedtime.

Vaseline is not a moisturizer either, but it can help the lips absorb the lemon juice. It is important, however, to only use Vaseline at night before bedtime or when you are the least likely to be eating or drinking. Vaseline is a petroleum byproduct, and it contains known carcinogens that should never be ingested.

These same ingredients can also be found in many other lip balms. These types of protective products are intended for external use only, so be sure to avoid licking your lips, eating, or drinking while you are using them. There are also a couple of natural lip balms out there that do not contain petroleum byproducts.

The main ingredient of many of these is cocoa butter or shea butter. Burt's Bees also has a lip balm that contains Acai berry, which is packed with antioxidants.

Coconut oil is one of the best natural moisturizers for lips and other skin. Also, olive oil is great if you don't have access to coconut oil.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
