What's the best present to get someone for graduation?

MONEY! Ha, ha. That or a gift card is what I usually do, that way they can get what they need.

A donation in the graduate's name to kiva. Org, the micro-lending site that helps people around the world obtain the means to help themselves -- and a good business book or magazine to help the graduate obtain the means to always be in a position to help others.

From personal preference - beer! I think this depends mainly on what sex you're buying the present for, but as a general rule I'd suggest something personalised that will have sentimental value for such a big occasion. For instance, a tankard or watch engraved with the date would be very nice.

Well my mom always gets family members/friends a copy of dr. seus's "Oh the Places You'll Go". It's a little schmultzy but appropriate. Haha.

Couple that with a giftcard, and you're golden!
