What's the best time of the year to visit Philadelphia?

The best time of year to visit Philadelphia, PA would depend on the person and what they were looking for in their visit to the City of Brotherly Love. Winter would definitely be the cheapest time. Crowds would be less abundant at the historic sites and parks in town also.

Many people come for the annual Mummers parade on New Years Day. The city can definitely be rather cold and moist though so the proper cold weather clothing will be needed. Summers can be very hot and humid at times but are also the most popular time for tourists.

The 4th of July fireworks and concerts are always a big draw as there are events all week leading up to that date. The Philadelphia Zoo and Fairmount Park also come more alive during this time of year. Spring and fall are the most temperate.

Spring can have the most rain while autumn can be beautiful with the leaf changing. The annual Philadelphia Flower Show in March is always popular as it is the segueway into spring. If you like museums the most crowded times might be the spring and autumn as that is when many school trips take place in these areas.

Overall, anytime of the year can be a great time to visit this city. Take your pick of what you like weather wise, budget wise or crowd wise. http://www.smartertravel.com/travel-guides/page.php?id=1236965 http://www.helium.com/knowledge/158396-philadelphia-climate-and-the-best-time-to-visit http://travel.aol.com/travel-guide/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia-best-time-to-visit.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
