My employer limits the size of my Outlook inbox, and I find that I frequently have to archive my e-mail items. But I have both a desktop computer and a laptop computer, and, when I archive e-mails on the desktop, they're not available on my laptop and vice versa. Any suggestions on how to keep these in synch?

Either put your e-mail archive on a share or use the same external hard drive with both PCs. Either:- put your e-mail archive on a "server" share accessible by both your laptop and your PC on your employer's network; or- use the same external hard drive (FireWire, USB, or NAS) with both PCsand put your e-mail archive (personal folders) on it. If you store your e-mail archive on either your desktop or laptop,Does it get backed up periodically?
On a server share, it probably would be (or at least it should be). With an external hard drive, you could get another one, andperiodically copy from one to the other. In the long run, provided you have a valid business reason for archiving your e-mails,your employer would be better off increasing the size of your Outlook inbox.
Some but not all may do that for you instead. If you can not put your archive on a server share, nor an external hard drive;then I would ONLY archive from one of your computers, and then periodically copy the archive files to the other computer. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
