None, not getting a gift is the worst thing to get; to get "nothing," on a day for lovers, is very sad. I've learned to deal with it.
I wouldn't say it was the worst, but certainly the weirdest! When I taught daycare one of my 2-year-old students gave me half of a spider. The other half was now a carpet stain, that's how he caught it!
Nothing... not a card, not a flower, not a kiss or even an I love you. When a caring person takes the time to remember others on this most loving of days, yet receives NOTHING in return from those she cares about, whether it's a spouse, parent, friend, or even their own child, it leaves a mark. I don't even bring the day up any longer.
But, I do give my cats some extra attention and, in return, they give me extra purrs.
So lucky I am, I didn't received any bad gifts.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
