When I turn on my computer, my internet connection doesn't work till I disable and enable my network bridge. What's up?

When I turn on my computer, my internet connection doesn't work till I disable and enable my network bridge. What's up? It seems to start me off with a messed up IP address, and disabling and re-enabling it gives it a functional one.

But it would be handy for it to get it right on the first try. Asked by Trakker 60 months ago Similar questions: turn computer internet connection work till disable enable network bridge Computers > Internet.

Uninstall/Reinstall Network Adapter software There is no mention of your Operating System so I will answer this assuming you have the newest version of Windows (I am not a Mac user). Run windows update to make sure your system is current with all patches and drivers. If anything is installed as a result, reboot and confirm whether the issue is resolved.

If not, proceed below. Click Start > Run > then type "devmgmt. Msc" without quotes and click OK.

Scroll down and expand "Network Adapters" and identify your Ethernet card. Before proceeding make sure you either have the driver disc supplied with the card or download from the internet. In my experiences I have not been prompted for drivers, the system automatically found them.

Right-click on your Ethernet adapter and select "Uninstall". When your adapter is removed, goto the menu Action > Scan for hardware changes. The Ethernet card should be listed again after the install process completes.

After a brief time, DHCP should assign your IP address. If after trying Windows Update and reinstalling the drivers, I would consider purchasing a new Ethernet card as they are quite reasonably priced. Sources: My opinion .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
