As mentioned by Anne, there is no official date. For specs, I'd personally expect a camera, but that's just me. I'd really like to see one with an LED flash (camera, not software), so here's hoping.

Based on the Steve Jobs comments I've seen though, I'm not so sure there's going to be Flash (software) support. I've also read that a new MacBook Air is expected in the near to mid future, so I'd guess that the next line of iPads won't be released until after that. You never know though.

With Apple having a larger product line than they've ever had before, product launches are going to happen more and more often. Perhaps something will come out sooner than we expect. As long as it doesn't look like the one below, I'm happy.

Your friends may be right that the new version of iPad (2.0) will have the highly anticipated features like the cam and the capability to make phone calls. But for the Flash, I think that's closest to impossibility because Apple has been protecting revenue streams. If they would install Flash to iPads then customers will not be buying Apple apps esp.

On games anymore because they can play them for free with the use of Flash. But for now, no specific date has been given yet but I think that the higher resolution, front and back camera, more storage, 4G connectivity, regular sim tray, flat back, lighter weight, wishfully Flash support, SD card slot and kickstand are worth to wait in 2011. Yay!

I have searched online but there is no definite date yet when the next version of iPad will be released. There was only a presumption that it will be due in early 2011 so that would be a few months from now and there would be more improvements for its shortcomings. It can be assumed that the new iPad will have the same built-in gyroscope .

This is a very important improvement because it can improve responsiveness and precision control of games. Hopefully it would have a front-facing camera with FaceTime. A higher resolution fixed position camera that would work like a desktop webcam that can electronically adjust the field of view and track head movement of the subject just like Logitech's webcam software of PC.

And it would have a memory that exceed the memory capabilities.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
