When many disciples were leaving Jesus over his bread of life teaching, why didn't he explain it was only a figure of speech?

It is equally silly as a statue of Jesus. Religious silliness in both cases. As long as it is private money to make it, and not public land iot is on, who cares, it is just a statue.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
