When opening a jar/bottle, does your dominant hand grip the jar/bottle or the lid/cap?

I use the lid also. Keeping in mind that if the bottle has a much larger diameter that the cap AND the cap takes a lot of pressure to move, grasping the larger bottle end with the dominate hand will result in an easier effort due to the mechanical advantage. I.e.
