When was the Chevy Impala first manufactured?

The Chevy Impala was first built by General Motors in 1956 and subsequently revealed to the public during the General Motors Motorama Show Car. The first Impala was known as a full-size model and it resembled a corvette type of design. In 1958, the first generation of Impalas hit the showroom floor, after the design had been tweaked and approved by General Motors Company.

The car appealed to the many different types of car owners, because it was affordable to the average American citizen. Since then, there have been millions of Impalas sold and some cars even found their way into the racing world. Many famous NASCAR drivers like Dale Earnhardt JR, Jeff Gordon, and Tony Stewart are driving these popular Chevy cars.

The current model of Impalas are more technologically advanced than its predecessor, which is now known as a Muscle Car or an American Hotrod.
