Whenever I try to connect to the internet at home the internet connection fails for both my Mac and my PC, why?

My Macbook connects to wireless fine in most situations, except at home, when it looks like the connection id fine, but no pages load. Simultaneously, the same problem begins on my PC, which only reconnects after my Macbook is offline again. Why is this?
