Thay should have a shelter in Los Angeles. That is were I just got a pet. I had to pay a small fee for the dog that I just got but it was worth it.

I would for sure checkout Much Love. I know they show up on Sundays in Santa Monica (on Main St a few blocks North of Ocean Park). I got my kitty from them.
The Bill Foundation does amazing work with LA area shelters - they take the hard luck cases - the ones that need expensive medical care or have special needs - bring them back from the brink, keep them in foster homes until they are ready for their forever homes. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
