Where is your favorite vacation spot?

Portugual Best vacation spot I've been is a little town north of Lisbon in Portugal called Sintra. If you go Fall-Spring you should be able to get a true feel for the small town and local people. The city is a Unesco heritage site.

I'd recommend driving/biking or hiking around Sintra-Cascais Natural Park which encompasses the Serra de Sintra and extends to the coastal beaches of the municipality and Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, which lies 18 kilometres west of Sintra. Tour the Morrish ruins, Monserrate Palace and be sure to stay in a manor house vs. a hotel in town center. This is a place for relaxed touring- bring a book, enjoy the food and port, explore the area.

For shopping or night life- Lisbon is an easy 25 minute drive. The south-west of France. Living in Europe I suppose I probably have a different view of convenient vacation spots to a lot of people here. The place that I go back to again and again is the south-west of France.

I'll freely admit that this is quite a large are diverse area but I don't want to be more specific than this as there are many lovely places contained within it which, whilst different, have a great deal in common and I think it is the commonalities that attracts me to the area in the first place. I will freely admit to admiring much that is French: it is a nation which appears to realise the importance of enjoying day-to-day life and extracting what pleasure it is possible to from the simplest of activities. The last time I saw any statistics on the subject, it was the European country which spent the greatest proportion of its income on food, for example.

I have a great deal of time for this view, and the perception which is much more common in France than England that we really should be making the most of our lives and that, whilst working may be important, it's not the most important thing in our lives. The south-west around Toulouse, Narbonne, Bezier, Montpelier, Bordeaux and a great many smaller towns and villages seems particularly relaxed and has a pleasant climate (albeit one which tends towards the cold in winter). It's a place which I tend to visit at least once every year and have done for some time.

I travel quite frequently with work and this is one of the few places that I have chosen to visit for pleasure more than once. Google Map View Larger Map Somewhere around here would be good.

Paradise hi Stinky, since we've been there 7 times, we have to say "Hawaii". We have seen the 4 major islands and found "Kauai" to be our favorite. This is a place you visit after you've seen O'Ahu, Maui and the Big Island.

Kauai is known as the "Garden Isle" because it has such magnificent scenery. Examples are: the Na Pali coast, the town of Hanalei, Waimea canyon, Waimea waterfalls and Poipuu beach. Since the isalnd is smaller than the others, you can see everything in about 2 days.It is the ideal place to kick back and enjoy gourmet pacific cuisine at Roy's ( near Poipuu).

If you have $ to spend, stay at the Hyatt resort on Poipuu Beach. Film companies use Kauai frequently for movies/T.V. shows such as: Lost, Raiders of the last Ark, South Pacific etc.Our second favorite is Oahu because it has so many activities to offer. It also has the best beaches of all the islands.

Maui's not bad either.ALOHA... Sources: Hawaii Habit Google Map View Larger Map Sea caves & remote beaches dot the Na Pali coastline..

I love visiting Florida. I love the palm trees, beaches and different assortment of activities to go to. Disney Land, Sea World and museums.

But the best part is going to the Daytona 500! I'll be there in turn two waving to you all This will be our first trip to see the Daytona 500 so I am very excited. I love looking at the different styles of houses and scenic views and not freeze with -3 degrees without counting windchill back here in Maine!

My favorite vacation spot is anywhere there is an ocean. I always love to vacation at Myrtle Beach right on the ocean front so that I can hear the waves beat the shore and it totally relaxes me. I am not a sun worshiper, so it is not necessary that it be really warm as long as I can hear the ocean and walk on the beach.

I have always loved the ocean and I would love to have a home on the ocean on a cliff with steps going down to the beach.. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
