It depends on one's goals! Choose Yoga if your priorities are:-Relaxation-Meditation-Increased flexibility-SpiritualityChoose Pilates if your priorities are:-Cross training-Muscle conditioning-Toning-Physical therapy-Reduction of back pain, etc...There is a LOT of crossover between the two, but the priorities differ, as you can see.
Whichever one makes you want to get out there and exercise! They're both great ways to exercise. From a training standpoint, I would caution against any non-functional poses or movements in either practice.
Some answers already mentioned proper alignment and attention to form. Remember, whatever form or alignment you exercise in, that's the way you're conditioning your body to move and posture when you're not exercising. Take baby steps and always prioritize form and functionality over, say, tying your legs into a pretzel while standing on your head (not sure what the specific yoga term for that pose is, but I've seen it in a few classes).

Both are cool but I never really got into Yoga, my sister and a few of her friends LOVE It. I feel pilates is better, just more movement and less focus on the stretching and holding aspect. But again I haven't really delved into either one of these practices really.
That depends it is all in the eye of the beholder as it were. Really though it depends on what your idea of a good exercise. Yoga is smooth and flowing and will strengthen muscles you did not know you had and can go at a slower pace.
Pilates will still target some muscles you do not normally use but not at the same strength as yoga. Pilates will target muscles that are used more at a high level much like weight training. Personally I thing Yoga is best because it is softer on my weaker joints but really they are about equal on all other levels.
Both. Yoga is great for mind body and spirit. Pilates is a great workout for the core and helps with keeping the body nicely alligned if performed correctly.
Both are good exercises but it depends upon your need and satisfaction , But personally I like yoga .
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
