Which is more advanced, Microsoft Windows Vista (all editions) or Apple MAC OS X 10.5.2 Leopard?

I think probbably Apple MAC OS 10.5.2 I have microsoft vista basic, but think it is quite slow :( but I have heard lots of good thing about MAC OS 10.5.2 Sources: My pc and MEE .

Depends what you mean by advanced It really depends what you mean by more advanced. If you want eye candy and useless "bling", Vista is it. I should say that I consider Vista a downgrade compared to XP (my system dual-boots XP Pro and Vista Ultimate and I spend 99.9% of my time in XP).

I greatly prefer Mac OS X (even earlier than 10.5. X) over Vista and will be buying a Powerbook Pro for my next laptop. Mac OS X is based on Unix (using a monolithic MACH kernel). That means it has the advantage of 35-40 years of development behind it to make it more robust, secure, and usable.

On the security front, it also benefits from having a much smaller installed base than Windows (so hackers and malware writers don't usually target it). For me, the real issue isn't which is more advanced but much more fundamental. The fastest way to do many many things is still with the command line and the Unix command line utilities are 1,000,000x better than the DOS (or DOS-ish command interpreters in recent Windows) commands and utilities.

Even for GUI applications, I install several on Windows that were originally created for Unix. The only advantage PCs used to have over Macs was running applications that weren't available on the Mac. With Macs using Intel processors and the advent of Parallels and VM Fusion, this is no longer really an issue.

Has anyone had problems with new software and Windows Vista.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
