It is impossible not to. Just as Molière's bourgeois gentleman was surprised to learn he had been speaking in prose all his life, any and every variety of every language has its accent, although some (Parisian French, Oxbridge English, the Spanish of Castilla la Vieja) carry such social prestige that those who speak them do not even think their way of speech could possibly constitute an accent. The French even have a word, "patois", for any accent lacking in social prestige.
Most Americans aim to speak like the announcers on the three major TV channels, but that is also an accent, nevertheless. Some accents are "cooler", more friendly sounding or more prestigious, than others, but that is simply fashion, social prejudice, snobbery or inverted snobbery, as the case may be. However if going for a formal interview, for a job or university entrance, discover the accent of the interviewer beforehand (if you can) and adopt that, provided you do not do it so badly that you come across as a pretentious fake.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
