Apparently - from the first source article: " 'General American' (more or less a Mid-Western and West Coast accent) " The first source is in form of an FAQ and insightful. For example, everyone has an accent though some are given more respect than others. Also, perceptions of regional accents are reported in the second source pp 44-45 (a book "Perceptual dialectology: nonlinguists' views of areal linguistics" by Dennis Richard Preston).
I have been told by friends in the corner states that people from socal and most of California have a really slight "valley girl" accent. This is for both males and females.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
