I'd recommend checking out your local Red Cross chapter. They often need help in various ways and I'm sure would love SEO help for their website as well as help setting a Twitter (convince them they need one). I spent a few years in gh School volunteering for the local Red Cross chapter and found it to be a very rewarding experience.
