Agreeing with freedom of religion does not mean one "supports" burning Qur'ans. The Muslims have rights to build their community center three blocks from ground zero and the Florida church has the right burn qur'ans, the Westboro Church has the right to protest at the graves of our soldiers, Non-Christians have the right to stop religious symbols shoved in their faces in public spaces, etc.
Yes, of course they are BUT what they are planning on doing is against the ideology of their (mine) own religion. We are not supposed to judge others and we are supposed to treat others the way we would want to be treated. Whatever happened to tolerance in Christianity?
What they are doing is morally wrong and just plain ignorant. Not to mention bigoted. BTW, the Muslims have just as much right under the constitution to worship as we Christians do in this country.
That's one of the things that makes this country so wonderful.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
