Why are Ayn Rand atheists more likely to extend the ideas of Darwin and embrace Social Darwinism?

A lot of people on the right are atheists or agnostics. Is this supposed to be shocking?

I am so sorry to contradict such brilliant people. I am conservative, Republican and retired. I read Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, and We the Living while in high school.

I am not an Atheist but I am not a blind follower of any religion. I have lived my life following many of the ideals of objectivism. Oh and is the new meaning of militant - protecting what is ours from theft?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
