Why are there no HP categories for issues relative to Retirees, Seniors and Baby Boomers? Prejudice?

Not that I write on those topics, but that is a good question. If there is a topic category for family and parenting there certainly should be one for senior/retiree/baby boomer.

Ktrapp, if you go and stroll through the categories, there are more allocated for Political and social issues for people from Africa, Asia, and other parts of the world than for our burgeoning senior population. And as I have pointed out in some of my RANTS, we Boomers are not used to being pushed aside. We are an active and forceful group.

And we want our place in the world of commentary also.

No, I don't think so. When you start a hub, it is computer-generated thing depending on your topic that pinpointed automatically, the category open to Political and Social views.

2. If you made an error, click the very light blue phrase "Start Over" and it opens up the "Choose Category.

3. Then, it is up to you to click OPTIONAL if you want more sub-category to truly define your topic. Otherwise, just proceed to LAY-OUT.

Hope this helps and if not, I suggest you call this out to the HubPages staff by emailing them. From my limited experience, they were very helpful.

Oh! I also want to add that most seniors I encountered here in HubPages write so beautifully about arts & crafts and travels; that means their hubs fall into that category and I enjoyed reading their hubs and learning from it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
