The highly intelligent men that I have known also share some difficulty when it comes to considering consequences..if they do "this," "that" will happen. It's a problem down the road they never anticipate, yet seems so obvious to me! A sort of instant gratification takes over all logic and reasoning.
Lack of planning for future needs or security seems less of a concern than someone with "sense" regarding the everyday things. Is it that a personality disorder usually accompanies such intellect? (Common sense)... such as taking showers (so they don't itch, stink, get sick) putting keys away (so they can find them later) taking out trash when it's spilling over, (to avoid bugs and smelly garbage) putting the phone away so it has a charge later on!
Common sense such as making sure they have enough money at the end of the month to pay bills..and not fill their basements with vinyls, CD's, AND DVD's (collections) and don't EVER buy new clothes, tooth paste, or fix the electric switch in the bedroom, or the front stairs that are now 2 feet away from the house...? Is that an obsessive compulsive disorder or is that a lack of common sense? To ME it says they don't live in the "real world," but live in their own thoughts and the everyday things are beneath them to worry over-Could be lack of training, or as someone else said, or arrogance. (Idiot savants?) I do see where you are going with this, but maybe common sense never seemed very interesting, too mundane, and a waste for such "genius"-more for their momma or a maid, servant..possibly a wife's responsibility?
My brother. Leo sun in 11th house, Virgo moon/rising/mercury. Leo venus.
I don't remember anything else from his chart at the moment. Total genius when it comes to book smarts. He went to a magnet high school, and he's been on the dean's list ever since he started college.
He's currently halfway done with getting his Master's in English. Although he used to be a double major in Art and Computer science. He's also extremely artistically talented.
Great at painting and charcoal stuff, and good at photography. He built a computer from scratch. An excellent writer, he's had a few short stories published.
But when it comes to real life stuff.. he's so retarded. He's extremely disorganized and not very hygienic or sanitary. He's basically a hoarder and he doesn't care about throwing away trash.
He could live happily in a landfill pretty much. He never remembers to pay any of his bills on time. He's just not very good at taking care of himself.
And he's a pig. He eats like 15 meatballs in one sitting because it's easy to just stick em in a toaster oven rather than making a real meal. He also could eat 2 entire pizzas by himself.
He's not obese yet but he is starting to gain weight. He's also very antisocial and plays videogames like 30 hours straight and goes weeks without showering sometimes. And he never knows when to buy new clothes.
He's reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaally cheap. He's been wearing the same pair of pants since high school and has all these old shirts with holes in em, and he always tries growing a beard even though he's the type of guy who doesn't grow facial hair that well. But he doesn't shave for many months at a time and he looks and smells homeless sometimes.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
