Why did the U.S. government turn down help with the oil spill from thirteen countries?

That would require "ACTION" and I don't think obama has come across that word, hot air and waffle but little else, they should have had every available asset in there the day after the rig sank, american rig owned and operated by transocean (US company just moved HQ to switzerland to save $2bn a year in tax) operated by americans and supplied by halliburton and others, only 7 BP employees on the rig out of 126, if I take a taxi I don't feel responsible in any way for what it or its driver does so if you rent an oil rig with operators how is it your fault if they are recognized as the best and still mess up.

Making decisions in a state of panic - bad! Deferring to the experts - good. Obama delegates, it's a leadership quality some admire, while others will criticize.

Delegation/involving others unfortunately eats up time. Putting someone in charge. In contrast, silo decisions succeed only in a perfect world or a dictatorship.

We thankfully live in neither. Collaboration and partnership will lead to success, my understanding is that only those that violated EPA or were opposed to by local unions were initiated by BP. Foreign aide has been harness by BP.

BP is at the helm on this clean up project. BP is in part foreign - a multinational corporation. You want to fix something - dissolve unions.

They had their place in the 20s & 30s - not today. Jones Act is archaic. I'm hurting from the economic changes.

I am not whinning or blaming Obama. I view the tightening of my financial situation as a necessary pain to reverse the direction of the United State's social & economic downfall. Baaaa as my Dad would say - I'm a sheep to him.

Drug test welfare recipients, any hand outs for that matter, kick out illegal aliens - we need to take care of "us". Go Obama!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
