Why do Conservatives vote against their own economic self interests?

I could never figure that out. MOST republicans are ignorant white trailer trash mid America low income dolts. They are fiercely patriotic.

Their women get abortions. Their families are on welfare. Their seniors are on Social Security and Medicare.

Yet, they vote for people who are against abortion, against welfare, against Social Security and against Medicare. They vote for people who consistently raise their own taxes while delivering fewer services. They say things like "We vote based on who is most likely to help keep government out of our way" then put people in power who want to monitor their bedroom and medical activities.

We don't consider 'economic self-interest' as getting benefits from government. 6 years of Obamanomics and the median income of Americans has dropped, 14 million added to foodstamps, wages are stagnant.. Is that your idea of 'economic self-interest'?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
