They are all sprayed with preservatives to keep them looking fresh and as enticing as long as possible. Problem is they only last a few days; usually long enough for the shop to display them; and when they head home they are already on the way to rotting. They are also sprayed with pesticides a lot of the time which doesn't help.
I think because the fruits and vegetables have been stored in refrigerated temperature for such a long time (i.e. During shipping/transportation and on display at freezing air conditioned supermarkets! ) they become rotten as soon as you take them home.
Tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, banana, orange, avocado, etc. Do not tolerate cold refrigerated temperature. Try to buy and eat fresh produces from local farmer markets as much as possible.
They are grown using fertilizers and chemicals, and later preservatives are used for storing. Fresh and organically grown vegetables will stay for a longer time. That is my experience.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
