Why do vegeterians see the need to create meat substitutes?

Good question :) Try as they might none ever come close to tasting like the real thing.

I asked the same question to a friend of mine who was a lesbian.

Some vegetarians behave like crusaders, if you don't follow their line, you must be wrong, by having meat substitutes, they add more ammo to the conversion cause.

Not sure, perhaps it has to do with the reason that they became vegetarians. Those that became vegetarians for health reasons may do it because they miss the meat, not only the taste, but the look and the feel of it. Those that gave it up for humane reasons, may not necessarily want anything that looks like or reminds them of a dead animal on their plate.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
