Why do we ask questions here rather than simply googling it?

That is a good question--as Google is definitely a good friend for the researcher, and the answers are much more likely to be definitive.

However, I think that people like the feeling of interaction, and feel that Hubpages is a bit of a community. So they like to reach out into that community, and to feel connected.

Of course, for Hub-specific questions, just asking really IS a good resource! (Though even there, it's good to search FAQs and forum threads a bit, just to make sure that there isn't an easy answer already right there waiting for you. ).

I think people want to hear others opinions in a lot of cases instead of what things like google claim to be the answer.

I honestly don't know. By googling what we are interested in, we could get more research and information. By asking questions on hubpages, we have no idea who is answering the questions.

Questioning and answering the hubpages answers could bring a good relationship between hubbers. Sometime we can find the other hubbers from the forum and answer. If the hubbers meet only by the hub publish, I think it would be harder for us to meet the other hubbers. It simply one of place to connecting hubbers.

I hope it will help. Thank you!

Because a lot of people are lazy and want everything handed to them.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
