Because most ARE scams. People warn against work-at-home ’opportunities’ because most of them ARE some sort of scam. Not some, but MOST!

And of those that are legitimate, you still make little or no money. Very few people ever make enough money in those things to even significantly supplement their income, let alone make a living at it. For every person who succeeds at an online, work-at-home offer, I would bet there are at least a thousand who didn’t.

How many computers are out there and how many of those people are trying to find ways to make money with them? Unless you are selling your own belongings or products on Ebay or something like that, there just aren’t enough legitimate opportunities out there; but, there ARE plenty of scam opportunities out there to try to take advantage of people who are desperate, or just want to make money with their computer. And, most of the legitimate opportunities still require someone to have some sort of in-demand skills such as web design, graphics, programming, medical training, nursing, etc.If you see a work-at-home offer that claims that anyone can do it with no special skills needed--watch out!

If such an offer is open to anyone and everyone without limit, that almost can’t be legitimate. How many businesses do you know of that can just keep hiring more and more people without limit and still stay in business, let alone provide significant income for all of those people? And then on top of that, these companies often want you to send them money, or buy something from them, for the opportunity to help them make a profit!

If anyone does not believe me, just sign up for a few of these--they’ll find out. Sources: eclecticsite.com/financial.html .

There's work at home and "work at home"... If you want to work at home, you need skills. Software development, Web design, technical writing, and many other similar jobs can be done at home. But those jobs are not advertised on "work-at-home" Web sites; you need to track them down just as you would a regular job...

...af few bad apples The answer is that a few bad apples make it seem worse than it is. Yes, the FTC warns against "work at home opportunities" because there are a lot of sites that charge a fee. Anyway, I work at home myself.

I use paymentKey.com to make extra money. (it's free). About a week ago I got a Paypal pmt.

From them for $779.20 for Jan. Work. Pretty cool!

Perhaps because it most likely is a fraud. Most of these work from home plans require a fairly large initial investment and require you to do the leg work finding new dealers in whatever is being sold or distributed. The end result is that no one makes money except the person at the top.

I hope you find the exception to the rule, but I doubt that you will. That's why they are called rules..

The internet will not work on my computer at home but my computer will work any plase else.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
