I knew it was a virus since my antispyware program couldnt find anything" No Anti-spyware ONLY program can find a VIRUS, ever. And, before you try to run NOD32, you must remove your previous Anti-Virus program. Once that's done, I have to ask: What happened when you ran NOD32, assuming you did so before the BSOD?
TIP: "ive had a history of problems with my CD drive." is way too vague. Sorry, but you sound like you are "out of your depth", and the right thing to do is for you to take your PC, and Windows disk, into a reputable repair shop for service. I think that it's more likely a hardware, AND a software, issue.
My cousin had a similar virus. We went into safe mode and did a system recovery. The bsod is probably caused when the virus disconnected or did something to a needed driver or compnent.
When you had a computer one way to insure that if this happens that it still works is to make a boot image. I bet you didn't do that. If your cd drive dosent work borrow or buy 1 and then return it.
If your computer is old(im betting so since its xp) its time to upgrade anyway.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
