Why does Obama tout "pay as you go" when debt ceiling was raised by $2 TRILL?

There is a theory that under the 14th Amendment Obama has this power. It's a very shaky claim, and I'm sure the White House Counsel and his staff are hip deep in the case studies to determine if this is in fact an option.

No US Constitution Art 1 sec8 Congress shall have power borrow money on the credit of the United States. If Obama wants to pay the bills himself, then he is liable to pay it back and not the Taxpayer....on second thought this maybe a good idea for him to do. The 14th Amendment does not mean spending debts incurred from reckless spending.

US Constitution 14th Amendment Sec 4 The validity of the public debt of the United States, (comma not the end of the thought) authorized by law, (Comma not the end of the thought) including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, (comma not the end of the thought) shall not be questioned. (Period end of the thought) Clearly if a state militia suppresses a rebellion the bill will not be questioned. 14th Continued But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in the aid or rebellion against the United States, (Comma not the end of the thought) or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; (end of the thought) This provision of the Amendment is about the civil war and makes sure the southern states do not try to have the North pay debt the South incurred and that the southern plantation owners were not entitled to payment for the slaves that the loss of the war freed.

This is not about the present National Debt but the Civil War debts.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
