Why is our healthcare system future being decided by government officials? Don't we need a new body formed to decide?

1 We the People is the Congress; we need to take it back. We the People have lost control of that beautiful instrument that the founders gave us. We the People are no better than the government we tolerate.

Maybe we could divide the country into a bunch of individual districts. Every two years we could have the people in those districts get together and have them send one person. Wait, maybe that's too often, and having elections every two years would make them flighty.

What we'd need is a second bunch of people, maybe two for every state. And they'd only have to be elected every six years. No, that's a stupid plan.

Never mind.

Even on this silly website, you won't commit to your real feelings. There's no way you'd have the guts to commit to a decision making process on that grand a scale, even if 'you the person' were suddenly given the opportunity, you would be attacked so hard and so fast by those who want to stay in control, that you wouldn't know what hit you. Ruthless doesn't even describe it.

It goes into criminal. Our system is too in place. Try again in a hundred years.

The health care industry would be only ONE of your worst enemies. Joining with them to find a solution is tantamount to joining a bunch of sharks to figure out how to hide blood from sharks. Then you have your oil companies, and your international concerns 'partnerships' created in backrooms over drinks and a cigar.

There are drug deals, weapons deals, deals with characters you wouldn't believe who think nothing of a quick kill when someone gets in their way. You have many complex networks of crooks and politicians who have a string of shady people who owe them favors. There are businesses that are used to having their own way.

They have money and connections. They would put up a fight like you can't believe. Would you like your family threatened?

Have everything taken from you by people used to getting their way? People don't seem to realize what is really going on in this world. Too many people are hypnotized.

You wouldn't have enough support. The closest we have now is Barack Obama, and he is getting attacked from every angle. If he wasn't the most powerful man in the world since being elected president, it would be all over for him.

Now he gets over 30 death threats A DAY. How many people could YOU gather together for your cause? It is naive to think a bunch of people could overpower even the health insurance companies, let alone all of the other big businesses who would utterly control your fate WITHOUT THE INTERVENTION OF THE GOVERNMENT.

Someday, when the human race has evolved sufficiently, maybe.......But now, look around you. We're not doing so well are we? Some people can't even fathom supporting a man in office right now who is trying to put more power back into their hands.

They wouldn't know what to do with it if they had it. We the people are asleep at the wheel, and have been for a very long time.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
