No-one can say, it's all speculation. We won't know until the enquiry is over. You can't trust unnamed sources etc in the press.
Halliburton and Cameron are running for cover, they will say anything, and leak anything that is not true. However when they're under oath in a court of law, with documents to explain, that's a different story. All I say is that American operations/American companies, are perceived to be not as safe as companies from other countries.
Cameron International - US company Halliburton - US Transocean - Swiss but American manned US government signed off and authorised everything. Think of the US involvements in industrial accidents - Piper Alpha, Exxon Valdez, Alaskan pipeline, texas City refinery, now Deepwater' No coincidence is it?
BP is the main contractor. Transocean is the rig operator, the rig btw flies under the flag of convenience the Marshall Islands - BP leased the rig from Transocean. BP, Transocean, Cameron International, and Halliburton Energy Services are all involved.
Depends on the contracts and the lawyers will slug it out in court. Obviously each company has insurance.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
