Why is there more caffeine in black tea than in green? How does oxidation increase caffeine content?

Ha ha. ALL that tea is the same plant. White tea is youngest, then green tea, then red tea, then black tea.It's the age of the leaf.

Obviously, the younger the leaf, the less time the plant has had to pump caffeine into it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
