Why isn't Geno Smith being considered like a serieous #1 overall pick?

Absolutely not. I am a WV fan who watched almost all of Geno's games this year. He started out on fire against weak competition, but when the team started playing real opposition, Smith really didn't elevate his game.

Granted, Stedman Bailey (his best WR) picked up a leg injury, and the pass rush got worse, but Smith didn't elevate the team the way an elite QB prospect should. He remained reasonably composed, but he wasn't making plays. And it's not like the Big 12 is stacked with great defensive juggernauts.

I think Smith should be a late first rounder AT BEST. Any higher than that and you're overpaying. Certainly, it's possible someone drafts him in the top ten as a need reach, but whatever team does so is taking a MASSIVE risk.

Smith has the talent to get the job done in the NFL, but if you're a scout, you need to see him doing it consistently and against the best competition, and Smith didn't do that. So you have to factor the risk that Smith just isn't as good as he looked against lesser talent into your rating, and draft him accordingly. MIssing on a QB in the draft can cripple a franchise for 5 years.

Somehow the Chiefs actually have a lot of good players already. Andy Reid is worth at least 5 wins. So KC should be 7-9 or better.

KC might want to trade down and pick up a player like Matt Barkley or another QB in the 2nd or 3rd. They also should give Stanzi a chance to see if he is any good. Stanzi shows a bit of promise.

I'm not so sure they should jump on Smith. Re-sign Bowe of course but he may not want to come back.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
