Christian, Catholic, Jew, Muslim, etc. All are religions that state homosexuality is a sin, not just Christians. Please stop generalizing Christianity. And just because a Christian has an opinion against homosexuality it does not mean they hate people who are homosexual.
They either don't understand it or think they can change, but those are opinions and just because someone has different opinions it does not mean we should hate them. When people do wrong things or act like jerks, they like to have excuses for their actions and a lot of the time it is religion. So instead of confronting a person who is acting like a jerk, people blame the religion of that person thus insulting an entire group of people instead of focusing on that individual.
People always like to sugarcoat the things they do. Like when leaders start wars or try to spread their power, they always say, I do it for God, we are doing this for the name of God (people from all kinds of countries from all parts of the different world with many different religions have done this) They are not doing it for God, they use religion as an excuse. They are really doing it for money!
They do it for money and power, they lie and say it is for God when really it is for the money! That is why money is the root of all evil. When someone is homophobic or hateful, they are not real Christians, because they are supposed to be loving and they are supposed to draw people to God.
People who hate homosexuals and say it's because of their religion, that is just an excuse. Don't blame religion, blame humanity! It's humanity!
Because even atheists or people who don't know much about religion will hate homosexuals. It's ignorance. You notice how when children are younger they will hate fat/ugly people and stuff?
It's because they don't know any better, they don't have much wisdom. Sometimes you can ask a child why they hate someone and they will either come up with reasons for why that person is unlikable or they will reply "Because they are just weird!" And that is the soul reason.
It's human nature. Ignorance. There are more straight people than gay people.
There have always been more straight people than gays and even more closet gays because they were afraid of being judged. Being different is ticket to getting bullied. I know this.
Some people just dislike others who are different, like racist people (even racist people have tried using religion as an excuse in the past). Humans are just cruel and hateful. There is a difference between God and religion.
Religion is a set of rules for us to follow that are nearly impossible because we are imperfect. That is why Jesus stated he hated religion. God gave us Jesus because we are so damaged by the evil of this world and we need his love and healing.
Religion won't heal or love anyone, or have a relationship with anyone. But God does. God wants us, all of us, to have a loving relationship with him and to love others and seek peace.
It is an attempt (by Party A) to vilify the former through association with the latter in the mind of Party (B)because if (b) accepts theexistencee of an 'association" it becomes more difficult for (B) to form a supporting argument for any ongoing collateral debate due to the subconscious conflict of "association = bad - vs- free will= good". Therein, (A) gains a distinct %50 advantage over (B) in debate because (B) must now wrestle with own inner conflict + external conflicts being presented. So it is really just one side of an argument trying to gain a covert advantage over the other side of an argument.
By accepting the comparison embedded in the context of presentation, most of the wind is sucked from the sails opposition.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
